fitted with a scanner and display makes the information
available in clear text directly on the spot.

Swedish system that is based on bar code labels
and a specially programmed hand-held computer.
Hand-held computers and bar codes
All objects that the user wishes to keep a full
check on are fitted with a unique bar code label
that contains relevant information about the object.
For example: manufacture, what is to be inspected
and/or dealt with and which ”reference values”
apply. When the label is scanned the information
is shown on the hand-held computer’s display.
The system can easily be made interactive with
check questions of a security nature.
